Altitude combines GPS and your iPhone’s barometric pressure sensor into precise dual-sensor altitude measurement that also works offline – whether you are hiking, flying or on a high-alpine tour. The app is made for outdoor fans, pilots and everyone who needs reliable altitude data without an internet connection. 1. How does Altitude measure altitude so precisely?

Altitude uses modern sensor fusion of GPS and barometer, combined with a smart Kalman filter. The result: stable and accurate altitude readings – even when conditions change.

2. Does the app work offline?

Yes! In pure GPS mode, Altitude is fully usable without an internet connection. For automatic calibration, however, we recommend an active connection to the weather station.

3. Is the app multilingual?

Yes. Altitude adapts automatically to your system language and currently supports German, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

4. What does the premium version offer?

With Altitude Premium you use the app completely ad-free – for a focused, pleasant experience with full functionality.
